SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed with regards to the higher amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA SRD services.

“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area here daily. The service point produced for intervention ordeals a significant inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to help the servicing of all prospects and maximize usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
